EquoIQ winter blanket 200 gr with neck

EquoIQ winter blanket 200 gr is further developed for an optimal fit and to give the horse as much freedom of movement as possible when the horse walks with a blanket. Our unique design features a frontal piece attached higher up at both sides of the shoulder blades and therefore reduces pressure on the chest area. The highly durable fabric can handle any rough play out in the field with friends. You can expect to use the rug for several years. A smooth inner liner will give minimal friction at movement.

The top line of the neck cover has straps along it to lift the rug up from the sensitive mane and create a tunnel for air to flow through. A common problem while using neck cover is that the horse´s mane can be damaged and will grow less due to chafing. This will minimize friction helping to ensure that the mane itself will not be damaged.

Any discount may apply to individual sizes and colors.

Our design is protected in many countries in the world through PRV, EUIPO and WIPO.

We manufacture EquoIQ winter blanket 200 gr with neck to last a long time and withstand many seasons in the pasture. That’s why we develop and design our blankets to fit all horse types – from noble individuals to large, rough horses.

Thanks to this, you can optimally adapt the blanket to each horse, regardless of whether it has a narrow shoulder or large, long and wide shoulder blades.

Specifically, the three D-rings 7cm apart on each side allow you to make a huge individual adjustment. In this way, you easily adjust the front part to the horse’s unique bow width. In total, you can adjust the circumference around the bow by almost 30 cm.
In addition, you can take the cover off and on in an instant, because we have placed the buckles of the bow part on the side.

In fact, veterinarians, equitherapists, equiopaths, osteopaths and masseurs, etc. are increasingly recommending our blankets thanks to the anatomical design and the great freedom of movement that the horse gets when using them.

Choosing the right size?
The length of the back determines which size you should choose. First of all, measure the length of the horse’s back from just in front of the withers to just above the base of the tail. The measuring tape should follow the horse’s back. Based on this measurement, you choose the size of the blanket. For example: if the measuring tape measures 136 cm, you choose a blanket in size 135.

Guidelines to help you choose the right size:
Size 75/85 fits mini shetties
Size 95/105 fits Shetland ponies
Size 115 fits B-ponies
Size 125 fits C-ponies
Size 135 fits D-ponies or small horses
Size 145 fits horses up to 170 cm at the withers
Size 155 fits horses approx. 170-180 cm at the withers
Size 165 fits horses over 180 cm at the withers

Fit the blanket correctly:
Remember not to tighten the blanket too tightly, as this can cause unnecessary pressure on the withers.
Instead, leave about a hand’s width between the blanket and the chest when tightening it.
The blanket should look a little loose when you put it on. Also make sure it does not tighten when the horse lowers its head.
All of our blankets have a withers protector attachment.

How warm a blanket should I choose?

Horses can tolerate the cold much better than humans, although their needs vary. In fact, a blanket that is too warm will often do more harm than one that is a little cooler. So if you are hesitating between two thicknesses, choose the thinner option.

Environment and sustainability:

EquoIQ rugs are not only ergonomic and promote free movement for your horse. We care about the environment and want to be part of sustainable consumption. We have chosen not to use fleece in our products by two reasons: Fleece can also create static electricity on clipped horses when the horse moves, causing unpleasant shocks.

Care for your quilt:
If you take care of your new EquoIQ quilt, you will get protection that surpasses most on the market. Make sure to maintain the quilt’s waterproofness by impregnating it as soon as the fabric starts to absorb moisture. The water droplets should simply bounce off and run off.

To protect nature from impregnation agents, we first recommend that you rinse off dirt with lukewarm water and a soft brush. You can of course wash the blanket in a machine, but we still recommend hand washing for the sake of the environment. Don’t forget to always impregnate with an environmentally friendly agent after washing.

Wash outdoor rugs at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius to maintain the impregnation.
