EquoIQ Fly/Rain Combo sheet with detachable neck cover

The EquoIQ anatomical rain/fly blanket is developed for optimal fit and to give the horse as much freedom of movement as possible when the horse is wearing the blanket. Our unique design where the front part of the blanket, the separate shoulder part, is attached to each side of the horse’s shoulder blades, which means that the horse does not get pressure from the blanket on its shoulder tips. Along the back, the blanket has durable and waterproof polyester fabric. On the underside, it is the smooth fabric that reduces friction that helps the blanket lie as still on the horse as possible.
The neck blanket on this blanket should be attached with the Velcro high up on the neck. They are placed there to keep the blanket in place and then be able to follow it down when the horse lowers its head. The neck blanket is relatively tight so that it stays in place and does not lie like a scarf on the horse.
The D-rings for the protective belly part have been moved up 15 cm compared to our very first model, it may need to be extended if your horse has a slightly larger belly.

The belly protector is sewn quite tightly so as not to hang like a hammock under the belly.
Extend with string on one or both sides if your horse is a little larger around the belly.
Place the belly protector so that it fits against the horse’s belly without either pressing or hanging loosely below.

The EquoIQ anatomical combi fly/raincoat protects your horse against insects and sun. The removable belly protector effectively stops summer’s torments.

We have developed our blankets to fit all different types of horses.

You can adjust each blanket individually to each horse, regardless of whether it is narrow or wide in the shoulder.
Specifically, the three D-rings spaced 7 cm apart on each side allow you to make a huge individual adjustment.
This way you can easily adjust the front part to the horse’s unique shoulder width.
In total, you can adjust the circumference around the shoulder by almost 30 cm.
In addition, you can take the blanket off and on in an instant, because we have placed the shoulder part buckles on the side.

In fact, veterinarians, equitherapists, equiopaths, osteopaths and masseurs, etc. are increasingly recommending our blankets thanks to the anatomical design and the great freedom of movement that the horse gets when using them.

How to adjust the blanket correctly:
It is important not to tighten the blanket too tightly, as this can put unnecessary pressure on the withers. Instead, leave about a hand’s width between the blanket and the chest when tightening it. The blanket should look a little loose when you put it on. Also make sure that it does not tighten when the horse lowers its head.
All of our blankets have a withers protector attachment.

Choosing the right size?
The length of the back determines which size you should choose. First of all, measure the length of the horse’s back from just in front of the withers to just above the base of the tail. The measuring tape should follow the horse’s back. Based on this measurement, you choose the size of the blanket. For example: if the measuring tape measures 136 cm, you choose a blanket in size 135.
